About Puget Sound Group Northwest Artists:
Puget Sound Group Northwest Artists (PSGNWA) is an arts organization that welcomes visual artists and sculptors at all levels of experience and expertise. Artists who are at least 18 years of age, who reside in the Puget Sound region, and who practice visual arts, such as painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture, are eligible to be members.
Scholarship Eligibility:
- Students must be enrolled in a university-level art program in the Pacific Northwest (WA, OR, ID, BC), including summer and/or fall enrollment in 2027.
- Scholarships are open to students working in a variety of mediums, including 2D fine art and sculpture. Photography, AI-generated, and/or digital art will not be accepted for this scholarship.
- The recipient students may use the money for tuition, supplies, books or any other purposes which help them stay in school or further their artistic abilities.
- Award includes Student Membership in Puget Sound Group Northwest Artists for a period of one year (approximately June 2027 – May 2028).

The recipient students may use PSGNWA scholarship funds for tuition, supplies, books or any other purposes which help them stay in school or further their artistic abilities. Approximate dates for our 2027 scholarship application process are listed below. Please check back in early 2027 for details.

Application instructions
Scholarship applicants must provide the following information to apply for a 2027 Puget Sound Group Northwest Artists (PSGNWA) student scholarship.
1. An online application form (coming in 2027) that includes a letter of introduction including:
- Your name, contact information, and website address.
- The name of your educational institution, dates attended, specific program or field of study, and your current year of study.
- Write a statement explaining why you chose this field of study and what you would like to accomplish. (100-200 words)
- Write a statement explaining what inspires you and what aspects of your life you bring into your art. (500 words or less)
2. Five to six .jpg images of your recent finished work (completed in the last two years). All images must be entered into the application form.
- Images must be labeled as follows: lastname_firstname_title_media_image1.jpg (image2, and so on)
- All images must be emailed to TBD.
- Links to your school or personal website will not be accepted as a substitute for these .jpg images, but if you have a website, please include the URL in your letter of introduction.
3. A letter of recommendation from a current professor or instructor.
Other requirements and details:
- Students must complete all parts of the scholarship application to be considered for the scholarship and must be registered for university-level Summer and/or Fall 2027 courses.
- Artwork submitted for this scholarship must not be previously considered for a scholarship in prior years.
- All information must be submitted through the PSGNWA website scholarship application form.
- Photography, AI-generated, and/or digital artworks will not be accepted as part of scholarship applications.
